Brock Meier employs his considerable skills and breathtaking description of the ancient world to spin a good yarn. His story reverberated in my gut and his vivid prose transfixed me. Best of all, he breathes new life into tales as old as time and as new as the morning.

There were places where I couldn’t put the book down—it makes an avid book reader want to cheat and look ahead! I enjoyed the book from beginning to end, and I look forward to more in the series.

As I read it, I felt I could actually see what the landscape looked like and how the people lived. It kept me wanting to read more and I had a hard time putting it down. I am looking forward to reading it again. It would make an epic movie…it has it all! I look forward to more stories by this author.
