Countdown to the launch of The Stone Cutter…

—A novel of Petra in Ancient Arabia.

All of the pieces and parts are coming into alignment for the premier release of my debut novel. The last day of September (Saturday, the 30th), The Stone Cutter will finally be available to the public. Currently, the book is open for pre-order on Amazon, in both paperback and hardback print editions, as well as an eBook version.

Literary Titan has called the novel— “…a tantalizing fusion of suspense, adventure, and romance, granting readers an immersive peek into the bygone Nabataean Kingdom. For a narrative that traverses a broad spectrum of human experience, this book comes highly recommended.” You can read their entire review here.

Dan Gibson, historian and author of “The Nabataeans, Builders of Petra,” has said: “Brock Meier has done his research well.

A special guest at the in-person launch party

We will also be hosting a local, in-person launch party the morning of the launch. It promises to be a ton of fun, with interviews, videos, historical displays, door prizes, and a special guest.

The Stone Cutter was, in part, inspired by the haunting and jubilant song “Man of the Tombs,” by the consummate songwriter/singer/guitarist Bob Bennett. Among his many accolades, Bob has produced a CCM Album of the Year, and two number-one songs. If you are not familiar with the song, you can grab its MP3 on Amazon for $0.99—what a bargain for such amazing music!

Bob has graciously accepted my invitation to appear at the launch party and play his song, “Man of the Tombs,” in honor of the book’s release. Thanks so much, Bob!
